This page includes examples of Patricia’s more professional journalistic work.
- Patricia dedicated six months to constructing an informative website about the Autism Spectrum Disorder and the current epidemic of the disorder. She did all the research, interviewing, writing, HTML code, and Flash infographics for the site.
- In 2010, Patricia investigated the seasonal presence of maggots on her local beach in San Diego and constructed the following article.

Every fall is maggot season in northern Pacific Beach.
The rotting heaps of kelp belch a stench into the air that stings nostrils blocks away. The sand crawls over beachgoers’ toes as millions of maggots writhe in the tide line. And when the tide recedes, like a horrific disappearing act, so do the maggots.
- The Daily Aztec has redone their website since Patricia’s time there, thus deleting the 30+ links to her work done during her three-year employment there. Here are salvaged screenshots of a handful of her more spectacular articles.
